John R. Tighe, President and CEO
Mr. Tighe has spent 18 years in the medical device industry and has worldwide commercialization experience in several medical specialties, including orthopedics, ENT and general surgery. Prior to joining PEAK Surgical, he was senior vice president and general manager of all business units for ArthroCare Corp., where he worked for 11 years. Before that, he served as the national sales manager for Acufex Microsurgical, where he worked in various sales and management roles over a seven-year period. Mr. Tighe also serves as a member of PEAK Surgical’s board of directors.

Andre P. Bessette, Vice President of Marketing
Mr. Bessette has more than 12 years of experience in the medical device industry. He was most recently senior director of marketing for ArthroCare Corp. Prior to that, he held marketing and clinical research positions with SectorBase, LLC, the University of California, San Francisco/GE Medical Systems and VivaScan Corp.

Mr. Cifarelli has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, most recently as vice president of sales for NeoGuide Systems, Inc. Before that, he was executive vice president of sales and marketing for CDx Laboratories, Inc. Previously, he spent 18 years at Olympus America, where he held several positions, including vice president and general manager of the Surgical Products Group.

Paul O. Davison, Vice President of Research and Development
Mr. Davison has more than 15 years of experience in the medical device industry, most recently as the director of research and development for ArthroCare Corp. Prior to ArthroCare, he held several engineering and product development positions at Medtronic, Inc. and Baxter International, Inc.

Lori A. Perpich-Munoz, Vice President of Finance
Ms. Perpich-Munoz has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of financial and accounting positions, with the last 16 years spent in medical devices. Her most recent position was vice president of finance and administration for Paracor Medical, Inc. Prior to Paracor Medical, she held positions with ArthroCare Corp., W.L. Gore and Associates, Prograft Medical, Inc. and Target Therapeutics, Inc.

Jeremy C. Edinger, Director of Operations
Mr. Edinger has 10 years of experience in senior level operational roles within the medical device and semiconductor industries. Most recently he managed manufacturing and procurement for Siemens Medical, where he managed all aspects of their ultrasound business unit, including manufacturing, planning, budgeting and resource allocation. Prior to his work with Siemens he spent more than 6 years with Cypress Semiconductor, most recently serving as a production control manager for two semiconductor business units with annual revenues of $120 million.

Mr. Nguyen has more than 15 years of experience in the medical device industry. He has experience with U.S. and international regulatory submissions and regulatory agencies leading to successful product regulatory clearance, quality system compliance, and product certification. He previously held positions in quality assurance with St. Jude Medical, Inc., Oratec Interventions, Inc. (now part of Smith & Nephew), VNUS Medical Technologies, Inc., Cardiac Pathways, Inc. (now part of Boston Scientific, Inc.) and Medtronic CardioRhythm.

Daniel Palanker, Co-Founder and Scientific Advisor
Dr. Palanker is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and in the Hansen Experimental Physics Laboratory at Stanford University. He studies mechanisms of interaction of electricfield and light with biological tissues and develops their diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and prosthetic applications. In addition to PEAK Surgical, Dr. Palanker has developed foundation patents for several companies, including ophthalmic laser systems manufactured by OptiMedica Corp.
