Mark S. Blumenkranz, M.D.
Dr. Blumenkranz co-founded PEAK Surgical and has served on the board of directors since inception. He currently serves as professor and chairman of the department of ophthalmology at Stanford University. Dr. Blumenkranz has served on the board of directors and scientific advisory boards of a number of private and publicly-held companies, including OptiMedicaCorporation, Oculex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Ophthalmic Imaging Systems, Inc. and MacuSight, Inc. where he is the chairman of its scientific advisory board. He was also a founding member of the scientific advisory board of Eyetech Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
 

Joyce Erony
Ms. Erony is managing director at Signet Healthcare Partners. She has more than 20 years of experience as a principal ininvesting activities, investment banking and business development. She has served as a director of Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences, Control Delivery Systems (acquired by Psivida) and Orbis and as a strategic advisor to Alcon Labs. Before joining Signet Healthcare Partners in 2006, Ms. Erony was a managing director at Citigroup responsible for the bank's activities in specialty pharmaceuticals and medical technologies. Prior to her 15-year career at Citigroup, she served as an economist to a number of international development agencies and multilateral organizations.
 

Anders D. Hove, M.D.
Dr. Hove has served as a member of the PEAK Surgical board of directors since inception. He is a general partner with Venrock Associates, a venture capital firm focused on companies in early-stage development. Prior to joining Venrock Associates, he was chief executive officer of Bellevue Asset Management. He has also served on numerous boards of directors, including The Medicines Company Inc., Eyetech Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Virologic Inc.
 

John P. McLaughlin
Mr. McLaughlin is a co-founder of PEAK Surgicaland has served on the board of directors since inception. He is currently president and chief executive officer of PDL BioPharma Inc. Prior to PDL BioPharma, Mr. McLaughlin was chief executive officer of Anesiva Inc., and held many other senior management positions, including president of Tularik Inc. and executive vice president of Genentech Inc. He is a co-founder of Eyetech Pharmaceuticals Inc. where he served as chairman of the board. He also served on the board of directors of IDEC Pharmaceuticals Inc.
 

Terry E. Spraker, Ph.D.

Dr. Spraker has more than 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. He most recently served as president, chief executive officer and director of Solarant Medical, Inc. He has also served as president, chief executive officer and director of UroQuest Medical Corp. and EP Technologies. Previously he held positions with Medtronic/AVE, a division of Medtronic, Inc., and Ohmeda. His experience also includes serving as a partner with Aberdare Ventures, a venture fund focusing on biotech and medical devices. He currently serves on the board of directors of SpineWorks Medical, Inc.


John R. Tighe
Mr. Tighe is the president and chief executive officer of PEAK Surgical and serves as a member of the board of directors. He has spent 18 years in the medical device industry and has worldwide commercialization experience in several medical specialties, including orthopedics, ENT and general surgery. Prior to joining PEAK Surgical, he was senior vice president and general manager of all business units for ArthroCare Corp., where he worked for 11 years. Before that, he served as the national sales manager for Acufex Microsurgical, where he worked in various sales and management positions over a seven-year period.
 

Faruk K. Amin

Mr. Amin is a senior vice president, Principal Investments at Lehman Brothers. Previously, he was a member of the healthcare investment banking group at Lehman Brothers, where he worked on numerous healthcare transactions involving mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings for both public and private companies covering various sub-sectors of healthcare. Before joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Amin was employed at Deloitte & Touche.
